If the French find it Funny

Kiddie Porn

Does The Sun need to do this? They will make a lot of money out of this today. We don't need to read this, we know he killed them, we know the details, they've been in all the papers. But maybe the Sun's motives for taking part in this are cleaner than their readers; the paper wants to make money while the readers want to get their thrills.

It's a simple formula for The Sun, build up the devils and so its readers fears, keep those fears stoked and like a drug dealer keep feeding the habit. Paedophile Terror sells papers, lots of people like to get their prurient kicks from reading such stories and the weakest, most dispossessed, the most aimless love to feel they are better than somebody, they like to jump on their moral high horse and turf out a paediatrician from their house and afterwards go home and snuggle under the blanket of righteous anger. Looking at porn has a debasing effect, you get used to a lot of the ideas and images, this doesn't mean you necessarily get into harder stuff but it means there is an acceptance. And the Sun running this story heightens this acceptance. We know there are paedophiles and child-killers out there.

But we don't need to live in a climate of fear and kiddie porn like this.

Let Somebody Else in the Nile

In the Guardian March 23 2007, not on the tinterweb,

"Lawyers for Conrad Black have accused the investment banker who replaced the fallen media mogul at the head of Hollinger of being motivated by money, overpaid, unsuitably qualified and eager to get his hands on the media empire."

He's a fucking investment banker

motivated by money...............He's a fucking investment banker

overpaid....................................He's a fucking investment banker

unsuitably qualified.................He's a fucking investment banker

and eager to get his hands on the media empire....

He's a fucking investment banker

Apparently Mother Teresa was an investment banker.

Yes, I know we all know Top Gun is about Tom Cruise's, ooooops.....Maverick's, exploration of his gayness, with Iceman gunning for Maverick, cruising the skies for some one-on-one duelling action but some of us are taking a little longer to wake up and smell the poppers....

Teddy's Angry, Very Angry

Some US students suspended because they made a film about killer teddy bears. It was a threat to a teacher. Right, go read.

More killer teddy bears, this time killing fish. A kid dropped a teddy into a fish farm pool, blocked the filter, killed a couple of thousand fish. Now they've put up this sign.

There's Freedom and then There's Freedom

Now come on you journalists, you're abusing our Freedom of Information Act by asking a lot of damn impertinent questions. We didn't kindly put this act in place to allow the press to forever ask questions of us the government. Our time can't be taken up explaining what we are doing or what we have done, if this trend continues it will hamper our efforts to be a modern, open and transparent government. Look at the questions you've asked. Who could possibly be interested in the amount of expenses our hard-working MPs have claimed over the year? Who would want to know how many London police officers have criminal records? What is the possible use of knowing how many of our most prestigious restaurants have failed health checks? Why would anybody be interested in the number of meetings I have had with Americans about setting up a casino in the Dome; 13 since you ask. If you journalists insist on asking questions then for the benefit of everybody we will have to curtail the act so we can deliver freedom of information more effectively. There's always someone who ruins it for everybody else, isn't there?

Turnbull Turns Bull

The Turnbull interview with the FT in full as he whines and whimpers about it not being accurate

whaffle waffle bollocks waffle financial policy waffle waffle financial policy bollocks even more financial bollocks, pause yet more smug civil servant speak, blah bl;ah index linked pensions and more finacial policy bollox Brown stalinist ruthlessness complete contempt back to the turgid financial policy bollox

Now he turns around and wonders why that was used, "I didn't think they would use it."

I'm not sure which box to tick: naive cunt or disingenous cunt
